Olympics and Paralympics update

Athletes from the Middle East had an extremely successful Paralympics at London 2012 winning a total of 79 Medals . Iran topped the list finishing 11th overall in the medals table winning 24 in total , ten of which were gold, 7 were silver and 7 bronze.

Tunisia also fared well with 19 medals all of which were in Athletics and Egypt followed closely behind with 15 medals.

In the Olympics Middle Eastern countries won 28 medals , again Iran leading the way with 12 medals finishing 17th overall. Winning golds in wrestling and weightlifting.
