The Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (PAIPED) welcomed 200 students and 38 local and international speakers to Oman for a four-day insight into innovation and entrepreneurship at the Muscat Youth Summit 2012, held last month.

Representing 26 nationalities, students aged between 15 and 24 years took part in workshops and community projects with business innovators to discuss issues facing today’s youth as they become tomorrow’s leaders.

“The population of Oman is growing each year and a very large proportion of the country is under 25. By inspiring a cultural shift we can create new opportunities for the growing youth sector and help drive the economy forward,” said His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said, Chairperson of the Muscat Youth Summit Organising Committee.
