What would happen if the moon suddenly disappeared and all the earth was plunged into darkness?

This is the question posed by the children’s theatre production Seven+7. The piece looks at a world turned upside down, when one of the few things we regard as being one of life’s ‘constants’ – the moon – disappears and chaos ensues.

The production is a collaboration between Beirut- based film producer and children’s publisher Dar Onboz and the city’s indigenous theatre company Collectif Kahraba.

Seven+7 is a magical fusion of light and shadow, of pupperty and live action, fusing together the tradition of shadow puppetry with a powerful environmental message. Eriq Deniaud, one of Collectif Kahraba’s founders, tells Beverley Andrews about the inspiration behind this magical show.
